JB Gill is under ‘massive pressure’ after his Strictly Come Dancing partner swap, according to JLS star Aston Merrygold.
Gill was originally partnered with Janette Manrara, but she was forced to pull out of the show due to injury. He has since been paired with Amy Dowden.
Merrygold, who won Strictly in 2017, said that Gill is feeling the pressure to perform well after Manrara’s departure.
“He’s under massive pressure,” Merrygold told The Sun. “He’s got big shoes to fill. Janette is an incredible dancer and she’s been on the show for years.”

“I’m not going to lie, I’m feeling the pressure,” Gill said. “But I’m also excited. I’m learning so much from Amy and I’m really enjoying the experience.”
Gill and Dowden will make their Strictly debut on Saturday night.
