Beni Baningime given 'better position' update ahead of St Johnstone v Hearts
Hearts assistant manager Austin MacPhee has given an update on Beni Baningime's injury ahead of their match against St Johnstone
Baningime has yet to feature for Hearts in the league this season after picking up a knock in pre-season.
But MacPhee has revealed the former Everton midfielder is now in a 'better position' and could make his debut this weekend.
'He's in a better position'
Speaking to the media, MacPhee said: "Beni is in a better position now. He's trained for the last couple of days with the group and he's looking good.
"We'll see how he is tomorrow and make a decision on whether he's ready to be involved on Saturday.
"It's great to have him back in the fold. He's a quality player and he'll add something to the team."
Hearts looking to bounce back from defeat
Hearts will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat to Celtic when they face St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on Saturday.
The Jambos have won just one of their last five matches in all competitions and will be keen to get back to winning ways.
St Johnstone, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last three matches and will be confident of causing an upset.
