Bridgwater Carnival 2024: Everything from road closures, parking and route you need to know today
Bridgwater Carnival 2024 is set to take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
The carnival is one of the largest illuminated carnivals in the world, and attracts over 100,000 visitors each year.
Road closures
A number of roads in Bridgwater will be closed on the day of the carnival. These include:
- A38 Bristol Road
- A39 Bath Road
- A39 Quantock Road
- B3139 Taunton Road
- C12 Quantock Road
The carnival route will be closed to traffic from 6pm on Saturday, November 2.
Parking
There are a number of car parks in Bridgwater town centre. These include:
- Angel Place
- Bridgwater Bus Station
- Bristol Road
- Castle Street
- Cheddar Road
- Cornhill
- Express Car Park
- Friarn Street
- Glastonbury Road
- High Street
- King Street
- Northgate
- Old Taunton Road
- Penel Orlieu Car Park
- Quantock Road
- St Mary Street
- St John Street
- Taunton Road
- The Old Town Hall
Please note that some car parks may be closed on the day of the carnival.
Route
The carnival route will start at Angel Place at 6pm on Saturday, November 2.
The route will then proceed along:
- Bristol Road
- Bath Road
- Quantock Road
- Taunton Road
- C12 Quantock Road
The carnival will finish at Angel Place at around 10pm.
Please note that the route may be subject to change.
Other information
There will be a number of other events taking place in Bridgwater on the day of the carnival. These include:
- A funfair on St Mary's Field
- A food festival on the High Street
- A live music stage on Angel Place
- Children, Youth and Adult Parade
