Carol Vorderman's son makes cheeky numbers dig at her on TV as she breaks quiz show rules
Carol Vorderman has been caught breaking the rules of a quiz show by her son, Cameron.
The former Countdown star was taking part in ITV's Beat the Chasers when she was caught using a calculator to help her answer a question.
Cameron, who was watching the show at home, tweeted: "My mum's on Beat the Chasers and she's using a calculator. That's not allowed!"
Vorderman later apologized for her mistake, saying that she had "got caught up in the moment".
She said: "I know I shouldn't have used a calculator, and I apologize for breaking the rules.
"I got caught up in the moment and I wanted to get the answer right. I'm sorry if I disappointed anyone."
The incident has led to calls for Vorderman to be banned from future quiz shows.
However, ITV has said that it will not be taking any action against her.
A spokesperson for the channel said: "Carol is a valued member of the ITV family and we have no plans to ban her from future quiz shows.
"We understand that she made a mistake and we have accepted her apology."
