Chukwueze Discusses Monza-Milan and Fonseca’s Backing
Nigerian Winger Opens Up About Recent Performances
Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has spoken about his recent performances for Villarreal, as well as his relationship with manager Paulo Fonseca.
Impressing Against Monza and Milan
Chukwueze has been in impressive form for Villarreal in recent weeks, scoring two goals and providing one assist in his last three appearances. The Nigerian winger was particularly impressive in Villarreal's recent wins over Monza and Milan.
Against Monza, Chukwueze scored a stunning goal from outside the box, while against Milan, he provided an assist for Gerard Moreno's winning goal.
Fonseca's Backing
Chukwueze has credited Fonseca with helping him to improve his performances this season. The Portuguese manager has given Chukwueze the confidence to express himself on the pitch.
"He believes in me and gives me the freedom to play my game," Chukwueze said.
"I'm really grateful for his support and I'm determined to repay his faith in me with my performances on the pitch."
Attacking Threat
Chukwueze has become a key part of Villarreal's attacking threat this season. The Nigerian winger is a dangerous dribbler and crosser, and he has a knack for finding the back of the net.
Chukwueze's performances have helped Villarreal to challenge for a place in the Champions League next season. The Yellow Submarine are currently fourth in La Liga, just two points behind third-placed Real Sociedad.
Chukwueze will be hoping to continue his good form when Villarreal face Getafe in their next La Liga match on Saturday.
