Dog rehoming North Yorkshire: Charity urges residents to offer pets a loving home

RSPCA says it has dogs of all shapes, sizes and breeds waiting to be rehomed

As the cost of living crisis continues to seriously impact families’ finances, the RSPCA is urging people in North Yorkshire to consider offering a loving home to a rescue dog.

The charity said it currently has a number of dogs waiting to be rehomed at its York Animal Home and the RSAPC Halifax, Huddersfield, Bradford & Wakefield branch.

The dogs come in all shapes and sizes, from tiny Chihuahuas to large German Shepherds. The RSPCA said all of its dogs are neutered or spayed, microchipped and vaccinated.

‘Being there for abandoned animals’

RSPCA York Animal Home manager Gill Lenton said: “We are urging anyone who has been thinking about getting a dog to give rehoming one a chance.”

“We have a range of dogs waiting to find their forever homes, from lively puppies to older dogs who are seeking a quieter pace of life.”

The RSPCA is a charity that works to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in the UK. The charity relies on public donations to continue its work.
