Ferrari's upturn encouraging Lewis Hamilton ahead of 2025 F1 move
Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has said that Ferrari's resurgent form is giving him encouragement ahead of a possible move to the Scuderia in 2025, with reports linking him with a switch with Charles Leclerc.
Hamilton's Mercedes contract expires at the end of next year, and the 38-year-old has cast doubt about whether he will sign a new deal to remain with the team he has represented since 2013.
Ferrari has been one of the most competitive teams in F1 during the 2023 season, with Charles Leclerc leading the championship after the first three races ahead of his Red Bull rival Max Verstappen.
Charles Leclerc has won two of the three races so far this season, while Hamilton has failed to pick up a victory during the campaign. Hamilton's best result so far was a third-place finish at the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix, and he has not stood on the podium since.
On the back of Ferrari's upturn in form, Hamilton concedes that a move to the Scuderia is becoming increasingly appealing, and he has been impressed with what he's seen from the Italian team during the early races in 2023.
