Greg Davies reveals heartbreaking reason he isn’t hosting Junior Taskmaster

Comedian was lined up to present the show

Greg Davies has admitted he was originally lined up to host the upcoming Junior Taskmaster series, but was forced to pull out after suffering a family tragedy.

The Taskmaster star had been due to oversee the children’s version of the show, however the loss of his brother-in-law in March led to him having to step away from the project.

Speaking on his new podcast with Alex Horne, Greg explained: “I was going to do it, and then I had a family bereavement. My brother-in-law died tragically and I just couldn’t go away from my family at that point.

Fred Sirieix announced as host

Alex Horne has now been confirmed to host the show, with Fred Sirieix being announced as his co-host.

Speaking about the new appointment, Alex said: “I can’t wait to get stuck into the studio with Fred and our brilliant young comedians. I know it’s going to be a lot of fun and that Junior Taskmaster will be a brilliant series for all the family to enjoy.”
