Ipswich Town FC is proud to announce a partnership with Suffolk Town Legends FC to support the upcoming Veterans Remembrance event. The event will be held on Saturday 11th November at Portman Road and will commemorate the service and sacrifice of all those who have served in the armed forces.
The partnership will see Suffolk Town Legends FC take part in a number of activities at the event, including:
Ahead of the match against Exeter City, there will be a minute's silence, laying of wreaths, and poppy collection inside Portman Road.
Suffolk Town Legends FC will also be hosting a veterans breakfast at the Sir Bobby Robson Suite and will have a stall at the fanzone, where they will be selling merchandise and raising funds for the Royal British Legion.
Suffolk Town Legends FC is a not-for-profit organisation that was founded in 2018. The club is made up of former professional footballers who have played at Ipswich Town FC.
The club's mission is to use football to support the local community and to promote the health and well-being of veterans. The club has a strong track record of working with veterans, and has raised thousands of pounds for the Royal British Legion.
