Kvaratskhelia's Napoli future in doubt
Manna warns Napoli will ‘not wait too long’ for new contract
Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has warned Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia that the club will ‘not wait too long’ for him to sign a new contract.
Kvaratskhelia has been one of Napoli’s standout performers this season.
He has scored 12 goals and provided 14 assists in all competitions, helping the Serie A leaders reach the Champions League quarter-finals. However, his current contract expires in 2027, and there has been speculation that he could leave the club this summer.
Speaking to Italian newspaper Il Mattino, Giuntoli said: "We will not wait too long for Kvaratskhelia to sign a new contract. We have made him a good offer, but he has not yet accepted it. We understand that he is a young player with a lot of potential, but we also need to protect the interests of the club."
Kvaratskhelia has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but Giuntoli insists that the Georgian is not for sale.
"Kvaratskhelia is not for sale," he said. "He is a key player for us, and we want to keep him at Napoli for as long as possible."
