Lennon Miller takes leading Motherwell out at Hampden in his stride
Motherwell’s Lennon Miller was the youngest player on the pitch at Hampden on Saturday – but he took it all in his stride.
The 18-year-old was handed his first start of the season by ‘Well boss Steven Hammell for the Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Rangers and he didn’t let anyone down.
Miller was part of a resolute Motherwell defence that kept Rangers at bay for long spells and he even had a couple of chances to win the game for his side.
In the end, it wasn’t to be for Motherwell as they lost 2-0 to the Ibrox side but Miller’s performance was a bright spot for the Steelmen.
He showed that he has the quality to play at the highest level and he will be a valuable asset for Motherwell in the years to come.
Miller’s performance was all the more impressive given that he was playing against a Rangers side that included several full internationals.
However, the youngster never looked out of his depth and he was always willing to get on the ball and play.
