Lawson to Join Carlin for 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship Campaign
Liam Lawson has signed a multi-year deal to drive for Carlin in the 2023 FIA Formula 2 Championship. The 20-year-old New Zealander will join the British team after spending the past two seasons with Hitech Grand Prix.
Lawson finished seventh in the 2022 Formula 2 standings, with two wins and five podiums. He also competed in Formula 1 practice sessions with AlphaTauri and Red Bull Racing.
Carlin is one of the most successful teams in Formula 2, having won the teams' championship in 2018 and 2019. The team also won the drivers' championship in 2018 with Lando Norris.
