Meet the New Dog Warden for North Yorkshire
North Yorkshire County Council has appointed a new Dog Warden to help keep dogs and their owners safe and responsible. The new Dog Warden, who will be based in Northallerton, will be responsible for enforcing dog control laws, investigating complaints about dog fouling, and promoting responsible dog ownership.
Role of the Dog Warden
The Dog Warden will work closely with the police, local authorities, and other agencies to ensure that dogs are kept under control and that their owners are acting responsibly. The Dog Warden will also be responsible for:
- Enforcing dog control laws, including those relating to dog fouling, dangerous dogs, and stray dogs.
- Investigating complaints about dog fouling and taking enforcement action where necessary.
- Promoting responsible dog ownership through education and awareness campaigns.
- Working with other agencies to tackle the problem of abandoned and stray dogs.
