PL2: Arsenal forward Butler-Oyedeji continues remarkable form with goal against Chelsea
Impressive display against London rivals
Arsenal's Folarin Balogun was in impressive form as he scored the only goal in Arsenal's 1-0 win over Chelsea in a Premier League 2 match on Monday.
The 21-year-old striker, who has been in fine form for the Gunners this season, netted the winner in the 65th minute at Meadow Park.
Fine goalscoring form
The goal was Balogun's 13th of the season in all competitions for Arsenal, and his seventh in PL2.
He has now scored in his last three appearances for the Gunners, and has been a key part of their success this season.
Important win for Arsenal
The win was an important one for Arsenal, who moved up to second in the PL2 table, two points behind leaders Manchester City.
It was also a good result for manager Mikel Arteta, who has been under pressure in recent weeks following a poor run of form in the Premier League.
Praise for Balogun
Speaking after the game, Arteta praised Balogun for his performance.
"Folarin is a special talent," he said.
"He's a natural goalscorer, and he's always looking to get on the scoresheet."
"He's also a very hard worker, and he's always willing to learn."
"I'm delighted with his progress this season, and I'm sure he's going to have a big future at Arsenal."
Next up for Arsenal
Arsenal's next match is against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Gunners will be looking to get back to winning ways in the league after their disappointing 3-1 defeat to Manchester City last weekend.
