Queen Elizabeth II to Make Surprise Cameo in ‘Paddington 3’
Buckingham Palace has given the green light for the late Queen Elizabeth II to make a posthumous appearance in the upcoming film, ‘Paddington 3
The beloved monarch, who passed away peacefully at her Balmoral estate on September 8, 2022, will feature in a previously unseen scene that was filmed in 2021 in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
The Queen was a huge fan of the Paddington Bear books and films, and she even made a memorable cameo appearance in a short film alongside the furry character to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.
The decision to include the late Queen in ‘Paddington 3’ was made with the full support of the royal family, who are said to be “very happy” with the result.
A source close to the production told The Sun: “The Queen had a great sense of humor and loved Paddington, so we thought it would be a fitting tribute to include her in the film.”
The source added that the Queen’s cameo was “a lovely and touching moment” that would “bring a smile to the faces of Paddington fans all over the world.”
‘Paddington 3’ is set to be released in theaters on March 8, 2023.
