Remembrance Day services take place across BCP
Council events and road closures
Services are being held across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole to mark Remembrance Sunday, with road closures in place to allow events to take place.
The main Remembrance service in Bournemouth will be held at the war memorial in Bournemouth Gardens, with a parade from Westover Road from 10.30am. This will be followed by an act of remembrance at Bournemouth Cenotaph in the Lower Gardens at 10.55am and a service at St Peter's Church at 11am.
Poole services
A Remembrance service and wreath laying will be held at the Royal British Legion in Poole at 10.45am on Sunday, November 13.
Services in Christchurch
In Christchurch, the remembrance service and parade will take place at the war memorial in Christchurch Gardens, starting at 10.45am. A service will be held at Christchurch Priory at 11.15am.
To allow the services and parades to take place safely, the following road closures will be in place:
- Poole Road from its junction with Wimborne Road to the junction with St Peter's Road from 10.30am to 12.15pm
- Bournemouth Square from 11am to 12.15pm
- Lower Gardens from Poole Hill to the junction with St Peter's Road from 10.30am to 12.15pm
- Christchurch Road from the junction with Barrack Road to the junction with Bridge Street from 10.30am to 12pm
