Saunders: No one will be hurting more than us
Former England star Phil Saunders has warned that the Red Rose will be "hurting more than anyone" after their Six Nations Rugby Championship defeat to Scotland.
Saunders, who won 95 caps for England, said the team's performance was "not good enough" and that they need to "take a long hard look at themselves".
"Scotland were the better team on the day and deserved to win," said Saunders. "We were not good enough in any area of the game and we need to take a long hard look at ourselves."
"We need to find out why we are not playing well and we need to fix it quickly. We have a lot of work to do before the World Cup and we need to start now."
England have now lost their last three Six Nations matches and are in danger of missing out on a place in the semi-finals. Saunders said the team needs to "find a way to win" and that they need to "start playing with more intensity".
