St Johnstone v Hearts: Team news

St Johnstone boss Callum Davidson could name the same team which defeated Motherwell in the Betfred Cup semi-final for the visit of Hearts.

The Perth side progressed to the final with a penalty shootout win against Motherwell on Sunday. Davidson also has James Brown and Murray Davidson back in his squad after injury while Craig Bryson misses out.

Hearts boss Robbie Neilson is likely to be without John Souttar when his team head to McDiarmid Park.

The defender has been struggling with an ankle knock and is a major doubt for the trip to Perth. Neilson, though, could welcome back Gary Mackay-Steven, who missed the defeat by Celtic with a knock.
