Blackpool 2-0 Gillingham
Dobbie's Double Sends Blackpool Through
Blackpool secured their place in the second round of the FA Cup with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Gillingham at Bloomfield Road on Saturday afternoon.
Stephen Dobbie was the hero for the Seasiders, scoring both goals in the second half to seal the win.
The former Rangers striker opened the scoring in the 55th minute with a fine finish from the edge of the area, before doubling his tally 10 minutes later with a close-range header.
The victory was Blackpool's first in the FA Cup since 2017, and it will give them confidence heading into the second round.
Dobbie Delighted with Win
Dobbie was delighted with his performance and the team's victory.
"It was a great feeling to score two goals and help the team win," he said.
"We played well today and deserved the win. We showed great character to come back from a goal down and win the game."

Blackpool manager Simon McCarthy praised Dobbie's performance.
"Stephen was excellent today," he said.
"He took his goals well and was a constant threat to the Gillingham defence. He is a great player and I am delighted to have him in my team."
