Smith said that the dream was a "profound" experience for him, and that it helped him to come to terms with Quattrone's death.

"It was a very comforting dream," Smith said. "It made me realize that Paul is still with me, even though he's not here physically."

Songs Of A Lost World is The Cure's first album in four years, and it is their first album since the death of Quattrone.
