The Flying Scotsman To Stream Live on YouTube
Smithsonian Channel And Flying Scotsman Join Forces To Showcase Iconic Locomotive's Restoration
The historic Flying Scotsman locomotive is set to be streamed live on YouTube as part of a new partnership between the Smithsonian Channel and the Flying Scotsman.
The live stream will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the restoration of the locomotive, which is currently underway at the National Railway Museum in York, England.
The Flying Scotsman is one of the most famous locomotives in the world and has been in operation for over 100 years. It was built in 1923 and was the first steam locomotive to reach 100 mph.
The locomotive has been restored several times over the years, but the current restoration is the most comprehensive ever undertaken.
The live stream will be hosted by Smithsonian Channel host and historian Rick Steves and will feature interviews with experts from the National Railway Museum and the Flying Scotsman team.
The live stream will begin on YouTube on March 8, 2023 at 10 am EST.
