Mixed injury update for Huddersfield Town ahead of Leicester City clash
Huddersfield Town boss Carlos Corberan has provided a mixed injury update ahead of his side's clash with Leicester City in the FA Cup fourth round.
Holmes and Vallejo doubtful, Lees and Thomas ruled out
Midfielder Lewis O'Brien is a doubt for the game after picking up a knock in training, while centre-back Levi Colwill is also a doubt. Corberan confirmed that defender Richard Stearman is out for the season with an Achilles injury.
Longer term absentees Danny Ward and Matty Pearson remain out, while Corberan also revealed that Tino Anjorin is back in training but not yet ready to return to action.
Corberan provides positive update on Hogg
However, there was some positive news on the injury front, with Corberan revealing that captain Jonathan Hogg is back in training and could be available for the game.
Hogg has been out since November with a hamstring injury, but Corberan said that the midfielder is now back in full training and could be in contention to start against Leicester.
Corberan says Leicester clash will be a 'tough test'
Corberan is under no illusions about the size of the task facing his side when they take on Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
The Foxes are flying high in the Premier League and will be strong favorites to progress to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
However, Corberan is confident that his side can cause an upset.
"It will be a tough test, but we are confident that we can go there and get a result," said Corberan.
"We have a good squad of players and we are in good form. We will go into the game with belief and we will give it our all."
