Verstappen reacts to delayed qualifying: 'It's a real shame'
Qualifying for the Dutch Grand Prix was delayed by over an hour on Saturday due to a power outage at the circuit.
The delay meant that drivers were unable to complete their final runs in Q3, and the grid was set based on the times from Q2.
Max Verstappen, who was on pole position at the time of the delay, said that it was a "real shame" that qualifying had to be stopped.
"We had a good car today and I was confident of getting pole position," said Verstappen. "It's a real shame that we didn't get the chance to finish qualifying."
The delay also affected the other drivers in Q3. Lewis Hamilton, who was in second place at the time of the delay, said that he was "frustrated" by the situation.
"We had a good car today and we were on course for a good result," said Hamilton. "It's frustrating that we didn't get the chance to finish qualifying."
The power outage was caused by a problem with the electrical grid in the area. The circuit has since apologized for the delay and said that it is working to prevent a similar incident from happening again.
Qualifying will now take place on Sunday morning, before the race.
The grid for the race will be set based on the times from qualifying. Verstappen will start from pole position, followed by Hamilton.
The race is scheduled to start at 3pm local time.
