All the road closures in place for Southampton's Remembrance Sunday 2023 service

Closures

A NUMBER of road closures will be in place in Southampton city centre for the annual Remembrance Sunday service and parade. The closures will be in place from 6am until 12.30pm on Sunday, November 12. The following roads will be closed: * Above Bar Street (from Marlands Road to Portland Street) * Bargate Street (from High Street to Hanover Buildings) * Bernard Street * Bugle Street * Civic Centre Road * East Street (from Above Bar Street to Bargate Street) * Hanover Buildings * High Street (from Bargate Street to East Street) * Kingsland Place * Portland Street (from Above Bar Street to Northam Road) * Queen's Terrace * St Mary's Street * The Avenue * West Marlands Road (from Above Bar Street to East Street)

Diversions

Diversions will be in place for all affected bus services. Full details of the diversions can be found on the First Bus website. The Remembrance Sunday service will take place at the Cenotaph in Guildhall Square from 11am. The parade will then leave Guildhall Square at 12.15pm and will travel along High Street, Above Bar Street, and Portland Street before finishing at the Cenotaph in East Park. Members of the public are advised to allow extra time for their journeys on Remembrance Sunday.
