UFC Light Heavyweight Contenders Make Weight
Las Vegas, NV - Former light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira and Swedish contender Ilir Latifi have both successfully made weight ahead of their main event clash at UFC Fight Night 217. Teixeira weighed in at 205.5 pounds, while Latifi came in slightly lighter at 205 pounds.
Teixeira Looking to Rebound
Teixeira will be looking to rebound from a first-round submission loss to Jamahal Hill in his last outing. The 43-year-old Brazilian has won three of his last five fights, but he will need to be at his best to defeat Latifi.
Latifi Aiming for Upset
Latifi, meanwhile, will be looking to pull off an upset and earn a shot at the UFC light heavyweight title. The 39-year-old has won three of his last four fights, including a knockout victory over Tanner Boser in his most recent outing.
Main Event Set for Saturday
The Teixeira vs. Latifi main event is scheduled for five rounds and will take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
