Forgotten ex-Premier League player gives Kettering shock FA Cup win over EFL side FOUR leagues higher
David Moyo's late strike secures famous victory
Former Premier League player David Moyo scored a late winner as Kettering Town pulled off a famous FA Cup first-round upset by beating League One side Burton Albion 1-0 on Saturday.
Moyo, who played for Crystal Palace and Huddersfield Town in the Premier League, struck in the 89th minute to send the National League North side through to the second round.
Kettering had the better of the chances in the first half, with Moyo going close on a couple of occasions.
Burton improved after the break and hit the woodwork through Tom Hamer, but Kettering held on to secure a famous victory.
The victory was Kettering's first in the FA Cup since 2015 and their first against a side from a higher division since 2008.
It was also a special day for Moyo, who scored his first goal for Kettering since joining the club in the summer.
The Zimbabwe international has been in impressive form for Kettering this season, scoring seven goals in 15 appearances.
Kettering will now face either Solihull Moors or FC Halifax Town in the second round of the FA Cup.
