Sheffield Wednesday looking to expose clear weakness in 'dangerous' Watford
Warnock: Hornets' defensive problems highlighted in Arsenal defeat
Sheffield Wednesday boss Tony Warnock believes his side can expose Watford's defensive weakness when the two teams meet at Vicarage Road on Saturday.
The Hornets were beaten 3-2 by Arsenal in their last outing, with their defence looking vulnerable at times.
Warnock said: "I watched the Arsenal game and I think we can cause them problems. They've got some good players going forward, but they're not the strongest defensively."
Owls have quality to hurt Watford
Wednesday have been in good form themselves, winning their last two games.
Warnock added: "We've got a lot of quality in our team and I think we can hurt Watford if we play to our strengths."
The Owls will be without the suspended Liam Palmer for the trip to Watford, but Warnock is confident his side can cope without the defender.
He said: "Liam's a good player, but we've got other players who can come in and do a job for us."
Watford must improve defensively
Watford boss Vladimir Ivic knows his side need to improve defensively if they are to challenge for promotion this season.
He said: "We need to be more solid at the back. We've conceded too many goals in recent games."
Ivic added: "We're working on it in training and we're confident we can improve."
Watford will be without the injured Daryl Janmaat for the game against Wednesday.
The Dutchman is expected to be out for around two weeks with a hamstring injury.
Ivic said: "Daryl is a big miss for us, but we have other players who can come in and do a job for us."
