Amy Dowden says she had 'so much fun' on Strictly tour while pregnant

Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden welcomed a baby boy on Thursday - just weeks after fellow Strictly star and JLS star JB Gill announced the birth of his second child.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Amy, 32, revealed she had named her newborn Arthur William David Lowe.

Announcing the happy news, the Welsh dancer said: "Dad is absolutely smitten with him and baby Arthur is just perfect!"

She added: "We can't thank the amazing team at the Royal Bolton Hospital enough as the level of care has just been incredible! We're excited to be home and starting this new adventure with our little family."

Amy, who is married to fellow dancer Ben Jones, went on to admit she kept her pregnancy a secret while appearing on the Strictly Come Dancing Live tour.

She told Hello!: "I had so much fun on the tour but I was also six months pregnant at the time so keeping it a secret was really hard."

Amy joined the Strictly Come Dancing professional line-up in 2017 and has since been partnered with Brian Conley, Danny John-Jules, Kelvin Fletcher, and Karim Zeroual.

JB Gill welcomes second child

Last month, JLS singer JB Gill and his wife Chloe welcomed their second child - a baby boy named Ace John Gill.

Announcing the news on Instagram, JB wrote: "Our little man arrived yesterday and we are all totally in love with him. Both Chloe and Ace are doing so well."

The couple are also parents to a four-year-old daughter named Isla Rose.
