Strictly Come Dancing star Aston Merrygold shares excitement about Amy Dowden partnership
JLS star and Strictly Come Dancing 2017 contestant, Aston Merrygold, has expressed his excitement about his new partnership with professional dancer, Amy Dowden, describing her as a 'wonderful' dancer.
The 34-year-old singer and dancer, who first rose to fame as a member of the boy band JLS, is set to compete in the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, and he recently took to social media to share his delight at being partnered with Dowden.
In a post on Instagram, Merrygold shared a photo of himself and Dowden, along with the caption: "I'm so excited to announce that I'll be dancing with the wonderful @amy_dowden on this year's #StrictlyComeDancing! She's an incredible dancer and I can't wait to learn from her and create some amazing dances together."
Dowden, 32, is a Welsh professional dancer who has been a part of the Strictly Come Dancing cast since 2017. She has previously been partnered with celebrities such as Danny John-Jules, Dev Griffin, and Karim Zeroual.
Merrygold's fans were quick to express their excitement about the partnership, with many taking to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One fan wrote: "This is the best news ever! I'm so excited to see Aston and Amy dance together. They're both amazing dancers, so I know they're going to be great."

Merrygold and Dowden are set to make their Strictly Come Dancing debut on September 23rd.
The new series of Strictly Come Dancing will see 15 celebrities competing for the glitterball trophy, including the likes of Fleur East, Kym Marsh, and Will Mellor.
The show will be hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, with the judging panel consisting of Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke.
