Kosta Runjaic: Points Are Possible Against Juventus
Bucharest Boss Vows To Make Serie A Giants Work
FCSB manager Kosta Runjaic believes his team can take something from their clash against Serie A giants Juventus on Thursday.
The Romanian outfit host the Italian giants in the first leg of their Europa League play-off tie, and Runjaic is confident his side can make life difficult for Massimiliano Allegri’s men.
“We know that Juventus are a great team, but we are not afraid of them,” said Runjaic.
“We have a lot of respect for them, but we also believe in our own abilities.
“We will make them work for everything they get, and we will try to take our chances when they come.”
FCSB have already caused an upset in this season’s Europa League, beating Anderlecht in the play-off round.
And Runjaic believes that his side can pull off another shock result against Juventus.
“We have shown that we can compete with the best teams in Europe,” said Runjaic.
”We are under no illusions about the task ahead of us, but we are confident that we can get a result.
”We will need to be brave and disciplined, but I believe that we can do it.”
